Zenit Arena stadium has become an integral part of New St Petersburg and, together with the development of the developing neighboring areas and transport infrastructure it is a symbol of a developing city.
All objects of the urban environment respond in one way or another to the processes taking place both in the city and within the site itself. The stadium is an event venue that has a huge impact on many surrounding areas, as well as on the city as a whole through the events that take place there. In this regard, Zenit Arena is unique because of its urban location: it is perfectly visible from many areas. Thus, by adding a visual and informative component to its image, the city will get an object that is not just influencing the space and people, but an object of interaction.
The main idea of the project is to use the typology of the stadium as a place of events, as architecture, and think about how this architecture can interact with people, evoking emotions; interact with the urban environment, marking and changing processes.
